Drevja runs from Lake Drevvatnet in North Vefsn down to the Vefsnfjord at Holandsvika. Drevja is a 16 km long river with a relatively small water flow during the fishing season of between
5 and 25 m³/sec.
There are also dense stocks of sea trout here during the fishing season.

Drevja was treated for Gyrodactylus salaris in 2011 and 2012, and is expected recovered in 2018.
Meanwhile fishing is only probided upstream the closed fishladder.
